2011 – HSBC Goes Lakeside
After three years involvement at the world famous Badminton Horse Trials, HSBC wanted a different hospitality offering this time round. As the event took place during the Easter break HSBC decided to make the weekend family focused. What could be better than a relaxed Sunday morning, watching world class sport whilst reading the papers. Bliss.
The opportunity to take the hospitality to the lake, which overlooks both Badminton House and the water jump was not one to be missed. Site visits were undertaken and detailed plans made. Every aspect was as usual thought about and planned in. Presentations were made and the project received the green light for implementation.
Blessed with unusually fine weather for the time of year, the public and customers flooded in. The HSBC facility played host to over 280 guests over the four days of the competition. Guests enjoyed live coverage from the events CCTV, buffet style relaxed catering, sofa’s and a more casual seating arrangement to ensure that both the customer and their family could really relax and enjoy every aspect of their day – a true base to operate from at the massive outdoor event.
Henson Franklyn designed and managed the entire build for their customer, which included everything from liaising with the event organisers, booking/specifying the structure, heating/cooling, lighting, catering facilities, management of all gift items for the guests, stock control and delivery (even on Easter Sunday extra stock was delivered from our Warehouse to the event).
