2012 – RBS 6 Nations Launch

Henson Franklyn help RBS inject a fresh look to the traditional captain photo and design a new rugby inspired Trophy Plinth for the RBS 6 Nations Trophy.

Working with RBS, Henson Franklyn has produced a bespoke set of rugby themed trophy plinths for the various trophies associated with one of Rugby’s most prestigious tournaments. In addition to giving the trophies a suitably grand stage, the plinths have also provided RBS with a stylish way to further promote their 10 year support of the tournament.

Getty images once again directed the traditional Captains photo shoot with the slightly different setting this year of a darkened changing room bench. The simple yet effective setting was produced and set up by Henson Franklyn. The shoot marked the naming of England’s new captain, Tom Wood despite the fact that he is rumored to be unavailable for the first two games through injury.

Launched at the same time was the official RBS 6 Nations App demonstrated by the producers at social media experts ‘JAM’, who were delighted with the ‘Launch Environment’ designed and produced by Henson Franklyn.

The entire media launch provided a fantastic platform for the RBS 6 Nations Road show, which starting in February will tour a variety of RBS banks and venues promoting RBS’s support of the RBS Six Nations Tournament. Henson Franklyn will be managing the logistical side of the road show’s set up, including the road show trophy plinths, rugby image gallery and other branding material.
